Why Mazda’s CX5 Makes Life Sweeter

A vehicle is a vehicle. It has a purpose and that is to get you to where you need to go. But it’s no question that the intended purpose has shifted since vehicles were invented. It isn’t just to get you to where you need to go, but to get you there safely and with the advance of technology, it needs to fit in with our modern life’s. But there are so many to choose from, how do you know what is good for you and what isn’t? What vehicle will will not only get you where you need to go, but will also make life sweeter? I had the pleasure of driving Mazda’s CX-5 around for a week, and I am here to tell you how it made life sweeter for me!

All opinions are my own

I need my space…

Mazda CX-5 makes life sweeter because it gives you the space you need.

We all want space. The extra room to feel comfortable, to not feel cramped and the space that allows you to have everything you need without feeling compact. Mazda’s CX-5 gives you that space.

The front seats had plenty of room, and with the wide middle console your not bumping arms with your passenger.

I had 3 kiddos in the back at one point and the fit perfect and had room to spare! That’s almost non-existent!

The trunk also had amazing space. Compared to the CX-3 it was much larger, and probably comparable to Mazda’s CX-9 if the third row seats are down. Honestly I think I like the option of the CX-9 having the third row seat, but I could totally live with the room that the CX-5 has.

Am I driving my phone??

Mazda’s CX-5 makes life sweeter with technology.

Did I ever tell you all about one of the last cars I owned? It was a ’99, had a tape player in it. If I wanted to play music other than the radio I had to have a tape that I could also plug into my phone which fed into the speakers. Yup. I drove that puppy until the wheels fell off. Well, not really until the wheels fell off, but the engine was making it’s way out. If the engine light wasn’t on I became worried. But now I’m trailing way off course. Technology and cars have come a long way, and for the better.

Mazda’s CX-5 embodies this. There is literally no need for me to physically pick up my phone once I get in this car. The CX-5 takes the convenience of having a computer in your hand and transferring that device to the vehicle. With the exception of social media and other distracting components of your phone; you can talk to your contacts, control your music or even play Pandora, and with it being easily accessible via the steering wheel and middle console.

The sound is transported into your ears via Bose Speakers, which ensures a Heavenly sound throughout.

Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you about speaking on the phone via the cars Bluetooth. Everyone I spoke to had no clue that they were on a speaker, even as I was driving. Super clear on both ends.

Safety: the condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk, or injury

The CX-5’s safety components makes life sweeter.

Technology plays another major part in the CX-5 that deals with safety. Like Mazda’s other CX-series cars, the CX-5 is enabled with sensors that monitor your blind spot, when you crossover the lines and when you’re too close to the car ahead. All the notifications can be easily and conveniently seen on the windshield in front of you. Allowing you to also view your navigation directions. Which brings another factor of safety as you can keep your eyes straight ahead instead of looking off at the navigation screen.

It’s also equipped with a rear-facing camera, allowing you to backup safely.

The vehicle is structurally a safe vehicle. With a heavy steel frame that keeps what is inside the car safe in an unforeseen accident. The CX-5 was graded a “G” (with G being the highest rating) across the board on the IIHS Rating. The 2017 model did rank an “A” (second highest rating) on headlamps, but I personally didn’t have an issue. The CX-5 scored a 4-star overall on the NHTSA Rating, with the side-impact receiving a couple 4’s, bringing it down from a 5-star. Honestly, I’m surprised as the doors were pretty heavy for the children to close. While it didn’t get a 5-star, it wouldn’t deter me from purchasing the vehicle. I felt completely safe in the CX-5, and felt safe having my child ride in the vehicle as well.

But they go as far as having sensor windshield wipers, that automatically come on when it starts to rain. It’s a lot of little things thatmakes life sweeter.

Final thoughts

I really enjoyed the CX-5. The comfort was amazing, I felt totally safe driving my family around in it, it had the absolute perfect amount of space and with all the technology that this vehicle possesses, it makes driving more convenient and enjoyable. I would totally recommend Mazda CX-5.
