We recently visited Pigeon Forge for the first time. The first thing we did when we arrived was visit Hollywood Wax Museum. My significant other was not feeling it at first. He much rather have spent some time at one of the several go-cart places we passed (not going to lie, the go-carts did look like a lot of fun). But he is a sport, so he went along with it.
My son and I have visited wax museum in Myrtle Beach, so I had an idea what to expect, but what I didn’t expect it that all the locations aren’t 100% alike. Read on to see what to expect when visiting Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge. Please pay attention to my photos of my significant other and what a terrible time he was having. 😉

Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge
What you should know is that the museum isn’t just a wax museum, it’s actually an entertainment center. The attractions are broken up into 4 different attractions. You can choose to just visit the museum, or you can get an all-access pass to visit all 4 of the attractions. I would recommend the all-access pass as you wouldn’t want to pass up on the other fun attractions that Hollywood Wax Museum has to offer. Check out the pricing HERE.
We started our visit off in the museum, you’ll be ushers to take a photo with King Kong before entering. This is a photo you can choose to purchase at the end, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Being in Pigeon Forge, you may see more county singers. We’re not fans of country music, if you’re the same, don’t worry, there are plenty celebrities to see while you’re there.
We really enjoyed playing around in the different sets, those are the most fun versus the figures that are just standing there. You’ll see props at various figures, take that opportunity to have fun with the photos.
Here is a funny story. My significant other thought the girl who was taking a photo with George Clooney wore a wedding dress into the museum. It wasn’t until she removed it that he realized what she had on was a prop. It was funny, because he was really starting to get freaked out thinking of how serious people were taking it. LOL
I think our favorite part is the horror section. We like scary movies, so this section really attracted us.
Jason was a little dead looking than what he looks like in the movies. But still intimidating.
Just another day hanging with the crew.
If Matt Damon has your back, then you have his.
Note that if you’re partnering up with Lucy, there may be a problem.
And no matter what kind of situation you’re in, your father always is your protector.
When you have the all-access pass, don’t forget to head up to the top of the building and take in the view.

Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors
This is a fun activity for the whole family. You’ll be instructed to put of gloves so that the mirrors don’t get smudge marks on the mirrors. You’ll have to get thru the twist and turns make your way out of the maze. It wasn’t this time, but when we visited the location in Myrtle Beach, my son ran into a mirror. He lived and I laughed. 😉
The maze can go by quick, but it is still fun. I don’t think I would go for this attraction alone, but added into the all-access pass, it is worth it.
Outbreak: Dread the Undead
If you’re not into zombies and being scared, then pass Outbreak. You’ll go through the attraction all the while passing zombie to try to get to the end. What you need to do, if just GET OUT! Most of the zombies are mechanical, but still a little scary. But there will be a couple of actual living (or nonliving) and breathing (or not breathing, I’ll let you decide) actors who will pop up throughout the course. At one point, we had to run. Let’s just leave it at that. 😉
Castle of Chaos
My son LOVED Castle of Chaos. Here we were able to play a 3D type video game. I can’t remember the exact name, but it had to deal with werewolves. You’ll sit in a seat, place your glasses on and grab your gun, you’ll need it to kill the werewolves off. This ride may be sensitive to people who are sensitive to movement, your seat moves and it’s 3D, so that could mess with you.
In a nutshell, Hollywood Wax Museum would be an excellent attraction to add to your itinerary when visiting Pigeon Forge. It’s a great family attraction that has something that the whole family would love.
