**I received my stay and services complimentary to facilitate an honest review. As always, my opinions are my own.
We had an awesome spring break in Chattanooga! If you haven’t been before, you’ll love it! We live in Metro Atlanta and it was a convenient 2 hour drive for us! We stayed two days and packed our days full while we were there, it’s definitely going to be a little weekend getaway in the future to explore all that we didn’t get a chance to. While we were there, we had an awesome stay at The Chattanoogan Hotel. Located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, The Chattanoogan Hotel is conveniently located near all of the area attractions, which makes for easy travel!
The decor was up-to-date and fresh, and everything had a new feel.
Please believe me when I say that I’m a little OCD about hotel rooms. I overlooked my room thoroughly and it was very clean! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. We slept so good whole time staying there. The hotel was so quiet too, we never heard any of the other guest while in our room. As far as outside noise goes, we only heard a fire truck, other than that it was pleasantly quiet.
The room was equipped with a desk, single serving coffee pot, small fridge and also had toiletries on hand for your convenience.
They even had USB ports on the desk and night stand to ensure charging of your portable devices if you forgot your outlet charger.
One of the great amenities that The Chattanoogan Hotel has is three restaurants (that is also open to the public). I can go on and on about the crab fritters we had for an appetizer! They were to die for and I could literally eat a whole bowl of them! Unfortunately the pictures you see are the only ones that I got, my phone died. Broad Street Grill changes their menu weekly, so there may not be the same options as there was when I went. My friend went with us and had a chicken meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. We tried each others meal to taste and I must say that It was delicious! I had the salmon and, although it was very moist, I didn’t prefer the taste. One of the things that I loved about Broad Street Grill is that it’s a farm to table restaurant, as is most of the restaurants in Chattanooga. They get most of their food from local farms. If they aren’t locally, they are from a trusted farmer that they work with. My son loooooved his meal. He ate it so quick you would have thought he hadn’t ate in a year! He had pasta with sausage and his own little special drink! If you go to Broad Street Grill, you have to ask for Brian, he was an awesome server! The dinner menu was a little on the expensive side for a family going out to eat, especially a family of four or more. Although we did enjoy our meals, I think you can find a local place and be very pleased with the food and the bill. After dinner we sat outside by the fire pit (again, my phone died). It was a great ending to our first night in Chattanooga. Here’s a little tidbit when staying in The Chattanoogan Hotel, their lounge, the Foundry, is open to midnight Sunday-Thursday and 1 AM Friday-Saturday. They serve pizza, salad and other light entrees in addition to serving drinks. So it’s a convenient late night snack if you choose to, plus, they have a few game tables in there too.
The next morning I headed to the second floor and indulged in a relaxing Chattanoogan Signature Massage at The Chattanoogan Spa. The overall Spa’s ambiance is, relaxing, clean and quite tranquil to say the least. I haven’t had mommy time in a while, so I totally took it all in, sauna and all! I was escorted to the locker room to change into a robe a spa slippers and then directed to head back into the waiting area for my therapist. There, they had a snack mix and fruit infused water.
After my therapist greeted me we headed to the room, which was so relaxing with the relaxing music and dimmed lights. The signature massage comes with the use of aromatherapy, which adds so much to the experience.
My massage was wonderful. The flow and pressure was awesome. As a former massage therapist I feel like I can expertly say that the spa staff was excellent.
They were inviting, kept the place serene and very knowledgeable about their craft. After my massage was over I jumped into the sauna for a few more relaxing minutes before I headed back to mommy duty. They had a select amount of products for purchase as you check out. For the most part, the products sold were all handmade and pretty local, either being from Tennessee, Georgia, and a few other states as well that aren’t too far.
One thing that I love about this place, so many things are sourced locally.
I would recommend The Chattanoogan Spa even if you aren’t a guest at The Chattanoogan Hotel. The Chattanoogan Spa’s hour are; Sunday 9am – 5pm, Monday – Thursday 10am – 7pm, and Friday – Saturday 9am – 8pm. If you would like to know more about The Chattanoogan Spa, you can check them out HERE.
That day we went to Rock City and Ruby Falls. We did a lot that day, but not enough to stop us from swimming in their indoor swimming pool. This was my son’s favorite part and we did a lot of fun activities during our stay! I literally just asked him again what his favorite part was and he relied, “Going to the pools!!”
By “pools” he meant they also have a Jacuzzi. It’s a great amenity since hotels typically have their pools outdoors. I love that fact that we can enjoy that no matter what time of the year we go. They conveniently had a bunch of towel, so you didn’t have to bring the ones down from your room. Next to the pool is the gym. They have several pieces of equipment to use while you stay. The pools are of course adjacent to the locker rooms, which house the saunas, so, if you are going without the kids then that’s a great way to end a swim. The pool is open to 11 PM, which works out well seeing that you are spending your days out and about exploring all the Chattanooga has to offer.
The last morning was horrible.
We had to leave.
Yes folks, It was our time to check out.
My son begged that we stay longer, but we unfortunately we had to go. But not before digging into the breakfast buffet at the Broad Street Grill. The breakfast buffet is a more affordable than the dinner menu that I mentioned early. And you do have the consider the convenience of just taking an elevator down from your room to go eat. My son DESTROYED his pancakes and sausage. My plate was equally as good, I wish that I would have had a little more room to eat more. The potatoes were excellent and my favorite item on my plate. Again, it was a buffet, they have a ton of choices to choose from. From pancake to pastries, sausage to omelets, there is something for all the picky eater (but who doesn’t like breakfast food anyway? That’s absurd to even think of!). As you can see, Lego Man also had a food coma. The adult buffet was around $12, with the child buffet right around $10. You can check out all that the Broad Street Grille has to offer HERE.
The staff at Chattanoogan Hotel were amazing! Everyone was so polite, helpful and really down to earth! They really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. This place is southern hospitality at your finest. I would highly recommend staying at The Chattanoogan Hotel for your next family travels, romantic getaway or even a girl’s weekend!
